Location is quite remote!!! Prepare for bus rides or a taxi from Kyoto station since it’s too far from any subway stops. Lastly, outside bathroom may be inconvenient for some guests!!!

The Japanese-Style Deluxe Room was amazing! Super comfy futon, I slept like a baby. The garden view from my window was so peaceful too. ryokan tori was an absolute gem! we were warmly welcomed with a beautiful tea ceremony, and our japanese-style deluxe room was gorgeous and comfy. the breakfast was truly one of the best meals we've ever had! it's close to downtown, accessible by bus, although it takes a bit to get there.
